not in a while

HOLY GUACAMOLE!! I really have not been blogging in for-ev-er! So i'm down to 138lbs and counting :) My son weened himself a month ago so now its time to workout and get it done! my weight has gone back and forth between 138 and 139 for the past few months. I really wish I could just drop those LB's. I'm thinking that I need to get to the gym more. The weather has been over 100 so its been difficult to be motivated to get my butt in gear and get it done. My goal is to loose another 8 lbs this month so we'll see how it goes! I've never really had to loose weight so this is a new thing to me. I'm looking forward to fitting back into my clothes - nice way to expand a wardrobe!

Boycott the Scales!

Since I stopped running and going to the gym all the time, I stopped weighing and measuring myself.... Then just last week got the itch to weigh myself. Stupid! I knew what was coming and went and did it anyway! 5lbs. Not lost, but found... found its way BACK onto my body. humpf! So no more of that. I think I'll surrender to being overwieght for a decade or two.. Now thats just me being despressed and silly. It'll probaby be only a little while longer....until we have our next kid.... So the roller coaster [which I have never been on before] begins. Life's about the rides, right?! I guess I just have to "smile and wave" "smile and wave"- oh! and laugh it off as much as I can!

Still not doing much

Both of us have been sick [for almost a month!] and BOB has been packed.. YUP! We moved! Maybe this week we'll take Bently and BOB for a walk in the neighborhood!

My Jogging / Walking Buddies

My Baby and I take walks now.. with our best bud BOB! I bought it so we could go for runs on trails.. but ... walking does just fine :) He loves is and so do I!!!




Extended Break.

Went to the doctors. For those of you who know me, going to the doctor is on my list of things I just don't like to do [I'd rather clean toilets] .. anyhow.... I cannot run until our son is almost weaned and until then, can't do much. [unless I want to loose my milk- which is plentiful when I'm not running and sparse when I am]. I can do minimal jogging..but mainly walking and Yoga and Pilate's and light weight lifting. That is something.

I've chosen to follow the doctors orders this time, especially since the health and well-being of our son is on the line here. I'm pretty bummed but have chosen my family over being a size 2 again for right now. Since he isn't on any solids until his first birthday, I'm his source of nourishment :) I had to withdraw all of my race entries, bummer.. but they were all cool about it. I had 4 races to withdraw from, not including this past month. Looking on the bright side.. I have a little extra money for our move, Christmas presents and new clothes! This is only temporary and when I do anything for exercise, I'll note it so I can keep track :)

So here's to taking it at a snails pace and enjoying the beautiful scenery as we go!

Break Time

I've had a few problems with my breathing and also with nursing our son. Since my health and my family come first -I've had to take time off. This really upsets me because I was looking forward to talking to my contacts again soon and see if I couldn't get back to what I was doing with my runng. Might be until the end of this month. Looks like I'll see how things are at the end of next week. No race this month. I'm still trying to find the balance between getting back in shape [and fitting back into my clothes] and keeping up nursing our son for as long as he needs. Its been a hard balance for me, however, Cameron and my family have been great support :)
[I'll figure it out sooner or later.. hopefully sooner.]
btw- I still weigh 137lbs. no weight loss, but no weight gain!

Week 8 Phase 1

Monday-
Lack of sleep and the fact that its WAY to cold.. It snowed this weekend..... I'm gonna stick to walking briskly as we shop and we did go for a walk. have no clue what the total time was. Does running after the boys count as excersice? leaving today for home.

Tuesday-
I'm still coughing up stuff. but it's getting better. I feel good and going to go for a jog today if I can. Weigh in is on Thursday this week. [that'll also give me a chance to get a few of those extra calories off that I added while in Utah!]

wed-sat. gosh! being sick isn't fun. its been 2 weeks and I still have a bad cough and shortness of breath when I run. I'll be getting back on my feet next wee. going to the gym with some friends next week, so that should help.. and oh, weighed myself this week.. STILL 137. atleast i Haven't gained any back. and my clothes are fitting better... maybe things are just shifting right now and I'll drop the rest later... we'll see :)
